NATIONAL BIKE WEEK

Bike Week 2009 will be in June and the Bike2Work promotion will run for the whole week

 All bike events are aimed to encourage 'more people to cycle more often' especially instead of making car journeys -Most bike events are free to enter and suitable for new or occasional cyclists including families and children

  Last year 2,114 local events and rides attracted 300,728 participants (estimated).

 Gary Lineker says ‘I am delighted to support Leukaemia Research as the national charity partner for Bike2Work. So get back on your bike, cycle to work and give the money you have saved on transport to Leukaemia Research. The great thing about this initiative is that it is so easy to get involved. It’s a great way to stay fit, have fun and raise money for charity, all before you and your colleagues get to your desks in the morning.’
