The Beatles finished their Mad Day Out in the familiar territory of Paul’s three-story
house. They posed drinking tea and sitting with Paul’s Old English Sheepdog Martha
in the sunhouse.
“There were six girls waiting outside Paul’s house to catch a glimpse of him. Of course,
when all four boys jumped out of the car, they nearly had heart attacks! Those girls must
be in their fifties by now.
This is one of my favourite pictures. It is such a fabulous profile of Paul. This was in the
dome of his sunhouse in St John’s Wood. He locked most of the others downstairs so we
wouldn’t be disturbed.”
