I have been using these skins for some time now after many trips to Czech Rep and working with people the likes of Jiri Kilma and Martin Droz, they use squirrel in most of thier patterns replacing the more old honor favourite Hare's Ear and I know why. This dubbing give a great spiky effect and unless you are a pro tyer a full skin should last you a very long time. You will ties many hundreds of flys with this as I have found.
Tied as a sub for hares fur, the GRHE nymphs and dries and wets take on a new lease of life with a super spiky look, just look at the CDC shuttlecocks on my site, the thorax of these flies is tied with this superb material. Also great when used a a sparse thorax on a CDC river dry.
As of 2012 there has been a price increase on these, sorry I will try to keep them as low as possible, still great value for money, loads of dubbing in each skin
As i have have already said superb dubbing in limited quantities. Once this is all gone I do not know if it will be produced again, including the colour that everyone has been asking for the Double Decker Yellow. So be fast to not be dissapointed. IMPORTANT: - The ten mixed have to be 10 different colours please, due to a limited amount I cannot supply more than one packet of a particular colour in this offer. Please also e-mail me on dave@flyfishingworld.eu with your selection and order number. This is a limited offer, very fine and excellent dubbing and natural not synthetic, doe snot require any wax to grip the thread, great for tiny dry flys.
Pair of Veniards Hare's Ear, it does what it says on the bag.
This stuff is cheap and easy to use, give you a nice spiky effect and I use it mostly on my Hare's Ear Suspender Buzzers now as its does the same job.
A good sized bag for not a lot of money
Great for all sorts of nymphs and dries and many other uses.
For the killer nymph by Sawyer, this is a cheap alternative to the real and far more expensive original Wool which selll for £50+ on Ebay.
Does the job catches the fish, what more can I say.
